Description
North West BAPS/Peaball recent mural ‘Nurtvured’ reflected how a lot of local women feel about breastfeeding here in Derry.
A lot of Mothers expressed that they didn’t feel comfortable feeding in some situations, or feeding children above a certain age when they were out and about. Which is one of the reasons why in this beautiful mural, the breasts were pixilated.
Diona Doherty spoke about the mural on The Blame Game and the raised awareness. Now Northwest Baps are on a mission to let breastfeeding mammies know that they are here to support and encourage them to feed their babies and toddlers whenever and wherever they choose.
We here at Ferry Clever have designed a card to get this important message across, featuring Diona Doherty and we want to do it in true Derry style and have a bit of craic with it!
